COLLEGE COUNSELING
At Pan American School (PAS), we believe that each student’s college counseling process is unique. The college counselor meets students where they are: we respect each student’s individual perspectives, needs, and aspirations. We recognize that each student and their family will approach this from their own unique set of circumstances. We strive to ensure that every family receives the level of service that is appropriate to their needs.
We encourage students to prioritize their academic and social environments and support them in finding “best fit” schools: colleges to which students are admissible, at which they will be happy and successful, and from which they will graduate.
Extraordinary care at PAS means that the college counselor emphasizes each of the four following pillars:
- Self-motivation
- Effective communication
- Openness to exploration
- Balance resilience while maintaining a positive attitude
PAS is a proud member of the National Association for College Admission for Counseling (NACAC) and the International Association of College Admissions Counseling (IACAC). Belonging to these associations entails adhering to the NACAC's Principles of Good Practice and Mandatory Practices. As a result, we are committed to upholding high standards of integrity and practice that promote ethical and social responsibility amongst students, parents, faculty, and university admissions in order to better serve students.
Brazilian College Counseling
