Meet the Superintendent

Ms. Shaysann Kaun Faria has been our Superintendent since July 2021. She is a vibrant and passionate educator, with strong academic and leadership experience. These paired with her interpersonal and communication skills are what will help Pan American School to continue driving forward our mission, vision, and core values and ensure we are always leading the way. 

Before coming to PAS POA, Ms. Shaysann served as Director of Learning and Teaching at Colegio Nueva Granada (CNG) in Bogota, where she led the work of 14 academic leaders in the school and helped provide K4 ‐ 12 learning programs to 1750 students and approximately 350 faculty and staff.

Born in the United States, she holds a Master’s of Education from the College of New Jersey. She also holds the Certificate of Advanced Educational Leadership and the Certificate of School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Harvard Business school. Earlier in her career, she served as High School Principal at CNG, Middle School Principal at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro, and held teaching roles in Brazil and Japan.
