The Huskies represent the Pan American School in regional, national and international tournaments. Fair play, respect and excellence are essential values in our sports program. PAS POA participates in two national tournaments with other international schools: Friendship Festival, for Primary School students and the International Schools Sports League (ISSL), for Secondary School students.
The After School Program (ASP) offers extension activities beginning after the school day at 3:30 pm. Activities include arts, sports, technology and languages. ASP takes place Monday through Friday. Activities are hosted at the school, with some of our sports activities and trainings taking place at the sports club next door. New activities are always being added!
Learning is not only limited to the classroom! To supplement classroom learning, our Classroom Without Walls program is an opportunity to participate in field trips that deepen the student’s learning and bring context to the content. All trips are purposeful and meet the educational objectives of the class.
All full-time students in good academic standing may participate in after school activities.
Most activities take place at both campuses, making use of our cafeteria, gym, outside courts, science labs, and kitchen. Through our partnership with Grêmio Náutico União e PUCRS, some activities, including our school sports, take place in the facilities provided by these two establishments.
At Pan American we offer a wide range of afterschool activities in sports, arts, science, computer programing, and languages. Our list of activities is typically the same, however, they are also demand based. If there are enough families interested in a certain activity, we will do our best to make that activity available.
