On July 23 and 24, 2026, Pan American - The International School of Porto Alegre welcomed the partner company UnconstrainED for AI training. It was a two-day program on using generative artificial intelligence for educational and learning purposes.

The faculty gathered to strengthen their AI foundations, focusing on data-informed analysis and practical classroom strategies to improve the learning process and foster deeper student engagement. 

At Obino, the training for G3 to G12 teachers focused on the effective use of AI to measure students' performance. Educators uploaded datasets into Gemini, tested tailored prompts, and analyzed the results. Participants reflected on key discoveries, exploring how to share insights with their subject teams and adjust instructional approaches. 

Participating faculty mastered prompt crafting using the 4 Ps: Persona, Problem, Parameters, and Purpose, to ensure maximum precision when using AI tools. 

At the end of training, the teachers reflected on how the value of the outcome depends entirely on the user's ability to provide information to the tool and to make specific requests, so the tool can work toward a specific objective. 

“It's been a pleasure to come back to Porto Alegre after a year, having worked with this group on AI foundations in 2025, and now returning in 2026 to see how the learning has continued, as we develop our understanding of how AI can be used to make data-informed decisions to benefit all learners”, shared Alex Johnson, facilitator of the AI for Data Analysis training at the Obino Campus and Chief Technology Officer at  UnconstrainED. 

On Paetzel Campus, the training focused on enhancing learning content for the Early Years by using generative artificial intelligence to present more creative, interactive visuals and storylines for students. 

Preschool, G1, and G2 teachers tested AI platforms that create custom content, ranging from telling stories to analyzing curriculum gaps and reporting to parents. Also, they explored tools students can use independently to bring their own stories and creations to life. 

“The objective of this training was to explain how teachers can use AI to enhance the work that they do with the children. We also used some tools that the students could use, since young children may not yet be able to write independently. And besides the more creative aspect, also learn how to use AI for curriculum design, how to look at the existing curriculum and identify any gaps, and then plan the next steps”, commented Ashrita Johnson, facilitator of the AI for Early Years training and team member of UnconstrainED.
