Welcome to Pan American
About Us
Pan American - the International School of Porto Alegre is an American-International school serving students from Preschool age 3 through Grade 12. Multicultural in nature, we are the only school in Porto Alegre offering international diplomas in addition to the Brazilian diploma. With a focus on academic excellence and teaching quality, we are Porto Alegre's leading education provider. Our smaller size allows us to offer personalized yet challenging educational experiences for all of our students.
Primary school is an environment where knowledge is built as students and teachers engage in inquiry-based learning.
The Middle School (Grades 6 – 8) and High School (Grades 9 – 12) offer programs, courses and opportunities that are designed to meet the academic, social, and developmental needs of our students within a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
The Brazilian Program is comprised of Portuguese, Literature and Brazilian Social Studies. These classes take a constructivist approach while shaping student character.
Early on we begin equipping our students with the skills necessary for social and emotional growth.
Through sports, PAS promotes healthy choices, enhance social interactions and forge leadership skills.
Student experiences go beyond the classroom. Sports, arts, and the acquisition of a third language are just some of their options!
