Thank you for your interest in the Pan American School of Porto Alegre (PAS POA).
The annual recruiting effort typically begins in late October, November, and December for the following school year. Our minimum requirements include teacher certification (Brasilian Pedagogia or Letras for local hires) or a degree in education from abroad. Preference is given to teachers with at least one year of full time classroom experience and knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (PYP/MYP) programs, although all qualified candidates will be considered.

PAS POA is a not-for-profit school with nearly four hundred students, 70% of whom are host nationals, from pre-school to twelfth grade. Students receive an international type of education taught in English as well as fulfilling the requirements of the Brazilian Ministry of Education. We have been providing excellent personal as well as educational opportunities to our students since 1966.
Fully accredited by AdvancED in the United States and an authorized IBO World School (delivering the PYP and MYP curriculum frameworks) as well as the AP Capstone; we are searching for enthusiastic and dedicated educators who wish to positively contribute to our community and make a difference in the lives of our students and their families.
