GENERAL INFORMATION

The Pan American School of Porto Alegre (PAS) is a private, co-educational, non-profit, English language school committed to excellence in education and the personal growth of each student. We offer a broad and challenging curriculum for students from pre-kindergarten through high school in both English and Portuguese.
PAS is accredited in the United States by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and in Brazil by the Secretaria de Educação e Cultura (SEC). It is also a member of the Association of American Schools in South America (AASSA) and the Association of American Schools in Brazil (AASB). The school is governed by a 12 member Board of Directors elected by the parent community.

PAS is located in Porto Alegre, the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which borders Uruguay and Argentina. The city has a population of 1.5 million and is a focal point for the Mercosul, a free trade region involving the surrounding countries.
