Hello Everyone!

I hope you have all had a great summer break and I look forward to hearing the stories

about it this Friday when we share the weekly homework sheets.

 Academic News/Reminders

Unit - Children will begin working on their `All the world is a stage´ unit which is an

inquiry into how we express ourselves. They have been asked to bring in

magazines/media with images in order to make a collage about what they feel

best represents/expresses themselves.  

Math - We will be continuing with the first sections in Unit 2 from Everyday Math on

using numbers and organizing data.

Language -  Children will be writing about their summer vacations. Look for the

published products on the board outside the G4 room soon.

General News/Reminders:

Parents, please have a look at the weekly homework sheet to share and participate in your

children´s learning. We are reviewing the golden rules and will be talking about expectation for the

second semester.

Hello Everyone,

Our second semester has got off to a good start with productive and enthusiastic

contributions from the children. They will be looking more closely at their

semester goals this week. 

 Academic News/Reminders

Unit - Children will continue working on their "All the world is a stage" unit and parent

contributions are part of the weekly homework sheet.

Math - We will be continuing with the first sections in Unit 2 from Everyday Math with

particular focus on organizing data. Ask your children about some of the math

vocabulary including the words/terms guess, estimate & tally chart.   

Language -  This week is the first Spelling and Word Meaning Quiz. The children will

be tested on both the spelling and meaning of the words from now on.

We will be editing and publishing their summer vacations

stories. This piece is graded according to our Narrative/Fiction rubric.
