The Pan American School is relationship-driven and based on explicit values and behaviours expressed in the school’s vision. This philosophy acts as a moral compass for all school members to develop as responsible and respectful partners. The concept of family is highly valued and successful learning is seen as requiring a three-way union between student, teacher and parent. Our philosophy combines the homeroom student centered’ philosophy of the elementary school with the in-depth study and rigor of a high school. We embrace a student-centered, enquiry-based approach to learning. PAS students benefit from supportive homeroom environments while also accessing specialist teachers in many subject areas. We strive for quality and excellence in all we do. Exposure to a wide range of programs drawn from the arts, core academic subjects, languages and sport, allows students to freely and holistically express themselves so they may better recognize and enhance their strengths. Our world is one of change, diversity and challenge. Our students need to develop skills, understandings and relationships that best prepare them to participate with confidence and success as responsible global citizens. |
