Welcome to the Pan American High School.

The High School (Grades 9 – 12) offers programs, subjects and opportunities that are designed to meet the academic, social and developmental needs of our Grade 9 to 12 students within a safe, supportive and encouraging environment, utilizing the resources available to PAS.  

In order to create that effective educational environment, our programs are designed to: 

•     cultivate an understanding of the academic content by motivating an inquiring mind,

•     cultivate a community within the classroom, staffroom and parent body,

•     cultivate responsibility of actions by students, staff and parents.

 PAS projects an international focus where we encourage our students to view themselves as citizens of this global village we live in. The staff, who come from USA, New Zealand, Australia, England and Brasil, bring a wealth and variety of experiences that enriches the lives of our students and presents them with challenges and concepts which broaden their international mindedness.  For the majority of our students who choose to study internationally, PAS offers academic programs that culminate in focusing on the Advanced Placement qualifications in Grade 12 whilst for those students who elect to continue their studies in Brasil, we also offer opportunities to study for the Vestibular examination. Through a wide variety of activities such as Model United Nations (MUN), Student Council (STUCO), sports tournaments, electives, arts, and community service programs, PAS caters for the sporting and extra-curricula needs of our students. 

We recognize that each student is an individual and must be treated as such within the structure of a school environment. We also recognize that during their time in the High School, each student will undergo profound physical, mental and emotional growth as they develop their own personality, interests and identity. I believe students want to be proud of themselves, their achievements and their school. PAS strives to give them every reason and opportunity to be so.
